Don’t play with your food is a 10 minute film that takes you into a whole new level of read between the lines!
Dinner conversations can range from pleasant to awkward, but when the conversation was all about food, and you just don’t realize it- that blows your mind! A peaceful dinner on the table was suddenly interrupted when Antonio tells his daughter to stop liking a guy with who she has no future. She begs to make an exception. Her father is enraged by the idea that he is a vegetarian. A vegetarian? (That statement seemed to heighten my suspicion). To honour her family, she was asked to serve the main course, something which she cannot play with anymore.
Director Daniel Muñoz Caneiro has put on screen something off the beaten track. You just won’t realize what the plot is leading up to unless you pay really close attention to the dialogues. The screenplay and editing are nicely done. It was flawless. Sounds had its lions share in making the film so interesting. We loved the visual graphics in the end; it just spiced up the film. Actors Roger Batalla, Carme Pla, Alzirin Gomez, Blai Llopis, Lorena Jaen, Joel Sanz have portrayed their characters beautifully!
Might be a bit queer at fir but an amazing idea put forward with great direction.
