History of Kurukshetra is a 5 minute documentary that describes the immemorial war. An epic battle between the Pandavas and the Kauravas on the historic battle field Kurukshetra. The narrative also describes the long conversation between Arjuna and Lord Krishna which forms the Bhagvat Gita which is one the philosophical books of the Hindu mythology. The documentary also portrays the lifestyle of the people in that area. Director Holger Klussmann has been able to put in a lot of information in the bare minimum time of 5 minutes. Narration by Nicola Nolting is great. The Kurukshetra has a powerful history but the documentary doesn’t seem to liberate that power. The documentary is brief and factual which paints the picture of the battle.
